That would be lipase, the hardest and most expensive to produce. For that

reason there isn't much of it in any brand. I asked where I get mine. I

wanted just lipase to lose weight. The guy said it would be prohibitive.

 

By mega, I mean something strong. A lot of brands like Vitamin Shoppe and

GNC are full of fillers. You'd have to take so many they'd be more expensive

in the long run. Fillers are listed on the bottle as a " proprietary blend "

of nothing specific.

 

Another important factor to look for is the addition of trace minerals in the

product you buy. Enzymes don't work without trace minerals as a catalyst.

My experience has been that the brands that care enough about what they sell

to include the trace minerals are the better brands all around. They'll be

listed on the bottle as a " proprietary blend of ionic minerals " .

 

Here's a run-down of what's in the ones I'm using now:

Protease 80,000 HUT

Maltase 250 DU

Lactase 500 ALU

Lipase 1,000 LU

Amylase 12,000 SKB

Cellulase 500 CU

Sucrase 250 SU

Bromelain 20,000 PU

Ionic Minerals 20mg

Dear Starris,

 

Thanks for the birthday wish. It's the 28th. Where can you get the

mega-enzymes? Do they require a prescription? Can you get them

separately?

 

I have always thought I lacked the fat-degesting one because I get fatty

tumors. My youngest son has to have surgery twice a year for little

fatty tumors around his waist.

 

Kombucha Tea has shrunk my big fatty tumor and moved it around to the

front of my arm.
