With him it is not sugar, but acid...all fruits, especially oranges give him cold sores...poor kid, every photo up until we started him on CS, has him with a cold sore around his mouth. It took us a long time to work out it was fruit that gave them to him. Its nice to know of someone else...what age did it start to happen? Matthew was about 2 years old. Tracy NOT NICK.... he is my hubby. ----------- Hi Tracy. My mom used to be that way. She could eat an orange and immediately break out with a cold sore. And taking Vitamin C was just not an option. Then she started going ot a Naturopath and he told her that, that was a sign of low calcium and he upped her calcium intake and she can now do citrus and c without that happening.
