That's what I said.....potassium is good for charley horses. I thought you were taking just calcium and magnesium, and suggested potassium. Cal/mag is good for everyone, potassium is more specific for charley horses. Calcium is generally calming, and better assimilated when taken with magnesium. I always take a liquid plant-derived trace mineral supplement with macromineral supplements. I think they work better when they're all available at the same time. Tums???? How about enzymes? Mega-enzymes including amylase, cellulase, lipase, protease, bromelain, stuff like that. Happy Birthday!!!! Starris
Guest guest
Rick...... Oh yeah...I know all about exercise....and I'd love to but I'm in rehab after a serious back surgery and can not put a lot of weight on my left leg, so walking is out. I was looking for more ideas to help me with the muscle spasms until I get to the point that I fcan walk (if ever.......( )
Guest guest
Dear Harris, If that is so, why do potassium and magnesium work in taking them away, as well? I do take potassium when I can remembaer it. I plan to take megavitamins and minerals, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, extra B-6, extra panthtenic acid, garlic, acidopholus, four Tums with one aspirin every other day, one minidose of premarin and provera, one colchicene, one tbs of Space Syrup, and eight ounces of Kombucha Tea. I find that garlic, B-6 and ponthotenic acid help me remember people I haven't thouoght of in seventy yeas. I am 81 this month. That massive combination works great for me, but I have been skipping too much since the Year 2000, and I have deteriorted a bit. Now what do you take? Ha. Blessings on you all. LOve. MArge. Guest guest
Hi All How come no one mentions exercise? Has exercise become a taboo in the USA? Won't exercise help modulate body chemistry? No one mentioned bananas? Guest guest
Hi there, Try magnesium oxide at 400-800 mgs daily. Magnesium is a natural muscle relaxer! I've found it be a lifesaver. Guest guest
<<Try magnesium oxide at 400-800 mgs daily. Magnesium is a natural muscle relaxer!>> Magnesium in the citrate form is much better absorbed than in the oxide form. Look for a 1:1 calcium:magnesium supplement (some have zinc and vitamin D added too). rob
