Guest guest
Hi! We just went up the road about 5 miles to get some gas,and in the only car we have, the front tire went the other way, hubby says it might be tie rod or rack and pinion, but whatever, we just got our excersize! Thank God, that we were not going fast! And were in the inside lane, and were not on the freeway, as we were an hour before, and that I wasn't driving... We are so thankful! We happen to live in the city and there is a store about a mile from us! My work however is about 8 miles away, don't quite know bout that one yet! My hubby was laid off(like so many) last week, and we had no savings,so I am leaving the car situation in God's hands now! My hubby was in an accident about a yr ago with an 18 wheeler(he was on his way to work one early morn, and the truck barrelled into the back of him on the interstate going 70mph!) The Lord was with him and DH is with me today in relatively good shape.Oh, the truck driver hit and ran! It demolished my hubbys little car,and since then, he has had 5 surgeries, and has been told that he will never be the same. He is in pain alot of the time, but we are using some herbal things for the pain and there are good days and not so good days.We live day to day now, because he cannot work the same kind of jobs he once did! (manual labor all his life) Our finances are poor to none and like many the only way we make it day to day, is by the grace of God! Hubby can't find another job, with the market the way it is, I try so hard to keep the faith, and I know that this too shall pass, and the Good Lord will not put anything on us that we are unable to bear, I constantly remind myself of this! I'm sorry to burden ya'll with my problems, but if ya'll could pray with us, you know....where 2 or more are gathered....This car thing is the most bothersome, right now. Pray that it won't be too expensive, to fix. Ya'll have ben so helpful to me! And I thank God for all my cyber friends! Thank you, Lorie

Guest guest
Dear Lorie, You're posting really touched me because your strength amidst so much stress is inspiring. You and your family are going thru so much and yet you manage to be thankful for what you have. Thank you for helping me to remember to be a little more thankful also. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I truly hope things work out to your benefit really soon! Good Luck! Juanita

Guest guest
Lorie, I'm so sorry to hear about your problems. We had to get a rental car just to get me to and from the hospital this last week for cancer surgery. The money we used was our grocery money but it was cheaper than using a taxi! Will keep yall in our prayers. Good luck. alley
Guest guest
Thank you so much for your prayers! Right now we cannot afford to rent a car, but thankfully we live in a city with a metro bus system. We will be taking advantage of that I'm sure, it only cost .50 each way. There are so many of my cyber friends that are keeping our situation in thier prayers, I am so thankful for each of you!!!
