Guest guest
Finally! I can contribute here Peg, I'm not sure if you mean cold sores or canker sores. My daughter gets cold sores, on the outside of her lip, not related to sugar. We had tried several over-the-counter creams. Best one by far was LipClear Lysine Plus+ Ointment, made by Quantum Inc. and purchased at a health store. Before Lysine, when she was very young, a friend told me to mix " Flowers of Sulfur " with enough petroleum jelly to spread. Flowers of Sulfur was easy to purchase at the pharmacy. It helped her cold sores and both my children's ringworm (from school). Even years later, that bottle of yellow powder made an EXCELLENT difference in my son's acne (mixed the same way). He was elated! When we used it up, I couldn't buy " Flowers of Sulfur " exactly, but my pharmacist sold me a bit of powdered sulfur in a small envelope. It looked the same but didn't work as well. In desperation, we (he) went on Accutane. My pharmacist assured me the sulfur he gave me would be the same as Flowers of Sulfur. But it didn't work the same...could the manufacturer/brand make the difference? He also expressed shock that we would use " something so strong " on his face, but believe me, it NEVER caused the harsh drying reaction that most teenage OTC creams did. In fact, his face looked smooth and hydrated, and CLEAR. Sandra P Mahan wrote: > I have a daughter who has not been able to tolerate > sugar since she was born. Guest guest
Yes she gets cold sores. Would you belive raw honey applied takes them away. For her and I both it kills them dead but you have to resist the urge to lick it. None of my children have had acne but I think a thin coating of raw honey applied and left say a half hour then washed on would help. Peg Find a job, post your resume. http://careers.
