Guest guest
http://www.drrath.com/menue/documents/uk/lecture-augsburg.= html Lecture of Dr. Matthias Rath, M.D. In Augsburg-Gersthofen March 1999 I would like to begin this lec= ture with the historic parallel of the Italian physic Galileo Galilei. Wh= en Galileo was born in 1564, the = sun still turned around the earth. When he died, in 1642, things were= the other way round. Now the earth= turned around the sun. Did the stars change their course during these eighty years? Certainly not. W= hat had changed was the way the people of this little planet earth looked= at the universe, and understoo= d the course of the stars and the workings of this universe. That had changed. So was this great uni= versal conversion greeted everywhere? Not only was it not greeted, = but it was fought against, to the dea= th. They threatened to torture Galileo Galilei if he did not recant his = claim. And Galileo died a heretic, ba= nished by the church. Why? Well, because this was not about the star= s in the sky, but about the fear of= those who were in power of losing the hold they had over people. The earth is a disc and lies i= n the centre of the universe. The stars in the heavens are attached to = seven crystal domes. The sun circles= the earth and in the centre of the earth is Rome. This was the point fro= m which the Roman Church ruled t= he entire earth and the universe. Galileo was declared a heretic because his knowledge shook th= e global positions of power of these Roman interest groups to their foundations. My lecture today takes place i= n a suburb of Augsburg. Augsburg is also the birthplace of German= writer Berthold Brecht. One of his mo= st well-known plays is about Galileo Galilei's fight. When you have th= e time, read this piece of world= literature or see the play in the theatre some time. Many of the quotes= also concern our case. For ins= tance, Galileo says: " Who does not know the truth, is simply a fool. Yet= who knows the truth and calls = it a lie, is a criminal. " In the course of this lecture we will meet s= uch people of our time. Politician= s and business people who are very much aware of the truth, but nevertheless call it a lie and= want to prohibit it. But first the facts. It is les= s than a year ago that the AOK, one of the biggest health insurance companies in Germany, publishe= d the following article in their periodical of April 1998: " Accordin= g to the German Ministry of Health ther= e are some 24,000 medications on the market of which no therapeutic efficiency, so healing propert= ies, have been proven. 24,000 medications, that is over 98% of all curr= ently marketed medicines. These are = prescribed, sold and taken by the millions but they have no proven effect. Yet the National Healt= h Service has to pay for them. " The situation is no different in Holland,= Britain, France and other Euro= pean countries. A second fact you should remem= ber is a notification by the Journal of the American Medical Association of April 15th, 199= 8: It was established by an extensive study that the side effects of medication are now the fourth = largest cause of death in the industrial world, after heart infarction,= stroke and cancer. According to data = of the German Medical Association of April 18th, 1998, each yea= r 8.000 people in Germany die of the s= erious side effects of medication and over 100,000 fall seriousl= y ill. Let me recap: only one thing has b= een proven of 98% of currently world-wide available pharmaceutical preparations: that the serious= side effects of these pills cause new diseases with epidemic proporti= ons, that are the fourth largest ca= use of death after heart infarction, stroke and cancer. Now I have told you everything= you really need to know. That's it. Have a good night and goodbye.= I see you would like to hear a= bit more. To hide their irresponsible practices the pharmaceutica= l industry and its accomplices create new= medical jargon: there was an article in the Munich Medical Journal of February 25th, 1999, with the = title " Multimorbidity and Polypharmacy as cause of pathological confusion. " Let me translate t= hat for you. Multimorbidity, that is when a person suffers from severa= l diseases at the same time. Pol= ypharmacy, I had never heard of it but it frightened the life out of me. There is now a diagnostic term= for diseases that are caused by taking too much medication; " poly " means much and " pharmacy " mean= s pharmaceutical preparations. In other words, when you take too much medication you can get a = disease that now has its own diagnostic term: " polypharmacy " . The crime is hidden behind a Greek= pseudonym. The following millionfold trag= edy is characteristic of our health system at the end of the twentieth= century: people get insufficie= nt vitamins, enabling a number of chronic diseases to develop. They are then given medication, which, = at best, will diminish the symptoms, but will most of all create new= , serious diseases. And then sci= entific articles are written about " multimorbidity in case of polyphar= macy " and these are published in med= ical periodicals. The Munich Medical Journal is no city newspaper but one of the largest medical jou= rnals in Europe. I like to stick to the facts. = That is why I will give you some numbers of the Wiesbaden Institute o= f Statistics, on causes of death= in our time: over half the number of deaths are caused by heart infarctions and strokes. Secon= d largest cause of death is cancer, followed by lung diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, acc= idents, etc. What is not mentioned in this official chart is the f= ourth largest cause of death: polypharmacy –= death caused by dangerous side effects of largely ineffective medication. We not only wish to expose the= unbearable wrongs, but would most of all like to offer alternatives. Those who have read my book " W= hy animals don't get heart attacks – but people do " will be aware of= the progresses made by Cellula= r Medicine in the fight against heart infarctions and other common diseases. For those unfamiliar= with the book I will give a short introduction: what is Cellular Medi= cine? Diseases in our bodies origina= te in the cells. So the first basic rule is, health and disease of the = body are decided on the level of th= e millions of body cells that constitute our organs. The second basic r= ule, a chronic lack of vitamins and o= ther bio-energy factors is the most common cause of cell malfunction and= therefore of diseases. Third r= ule, cardiovascular problems are by far the most common diseases because the cells of the heart= muscle and the arterial walls haven an especially high consumption of bio-energy, because of the con= stant mechanical functioning of heartbeat and pulse. All this is obvious;= the heart is the engine of the= body. You can compare this to the engine in your car, which constantly needs gasoline and oil. Finall= y the fourth fundamental rule of Cellular Medicine, an optimum daily ca= re with vitamins, minerals, amino= acids, trace elements is the key to the prevention of cardiovascular problems and many other diseas= es. The key word is: bio-fuel for the cells. The most important bio-fue= l substances known to science to= day, that can be taken in through food or nutritional supplements, = are vitamins, minerals, amino acid= s, trace elements. The foundations of Cellular Medicine are that= simple. Do you understand? I have brought you something t= onight, our new book " Good health is possible! " As opposed to my fir= st book, this book was written by= the patients themselves. We just summarised it and are now passing on= their experiences to you. Read= it, form your own picture of it. At the end of the book I have written= the following comment on the effec= ts of these testimonials on the reader: when you have reached this part of the book there are only two= possibilities left. The first is to say, this Dr. Rath made it all up. = Or, you will have been convinced by th= ese testimonials, in which case the inevitable question will be: " Why haven't I heard of this before= ? " And I will answer this question for you. First of all it is important t= o understand that " Good health is possible! " is not just the title of th= e book, it is a reality. When you have re= ad the book you will agree with me that this is the beginning of a new er= a in which we no longer need to = fear many of the common diseases. We can control them. Finally, " = Good health is possible! " is compre= hensible for everyone because the patients themselves are speaking. Thi= s is also important for our succ= ess; to explain the results we have made in an understandable way. There is an historical paralle= l for this as well. In Brecht's play Galilei the Inquisitor General says:= " This evil man knows very well what = he is doing when he writes down his theories in the language of the peddlers and fishmongers, inst= ead of in Latin. " In those days it was already recognised how dangerous it would be if common people w= ould understand those things that only a select group should know of. When the people have the knowl= edge, they can no longer be fooled. They can no longer be sucked dry.= They will refuse to play the g= ame any longer. This is why you will find all our information material wr= itten in a language everyone can und= erstand. I had planned to given you an = overview of the results made by Cellular Medicine. However, I do not have= the time to go into details. I= will have to ask you to read the books and the background information carefully. I would now like to= discuss with you cardiovascular diseases, then in the seco= nd part virus and cancer diseases and finall= y I will tell you about the forces that block this medical breakthrou= gh and consciously put the health and= lives of millions of people on the line. The first big breakthrough of = Cellular Medicine was in the fight against arteriosclerosis, the cause= of heart infarctions and strokes.= Today over five hundred million people world-wide suffer from arteriosclerosis and the disea= se keeps spreading. So you tell me, how can a disease keep on spreading? Because contemporar= y medical science does not recognise the true causes, or refuses to recognise them. This is why to= date orthodox medicine does not know of an effective, preventive therapy. The only thing modern= medicine does is cure the symptoms and repair the blocking of the arteries mechanically. They gi= ve you a bypass. What does that mean? It means that they work around the problem, instead of tackli= ng it at the roots. Or the other mechanical reparation method, percutaneous angioplasty. The = depositions in the coronary arteries are pushed flat against the arte= ry's inner wall by a balloon that i= s blown up under high pressure. Mechanical plumbing, while the doctors ar= e well aware that this does not = treat the cause of the problem. So what is the cause? A vitami= n shortage in the cells of the arterial wall. These cells move with ever= y heartbeat, meaning that the wa= ll is stretched out seventy, eighty times a minute. And so it is obvio= us that these cells have a high c= onsumption of bio-fuel, especially vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-car= otene, lysine, proline and amino acid= s. If you supply the cells of the arterial wall with this bio-fuel, the= arterial wall will stabilise and you wi= ll prevent damage and the resulting depositions. Moreover, they can repair an a= lready existing disease. A utopian dream? No. those of you who have read my book will know that we= have conducted a research to prove this directly with images of the arterial walls. The Ultrafast = Computer Tomogram, also known as a mammogram of the heart, is a diagnostic technique that was = developed recently in the USA. We were the first to use it for research purposes. With the help of thi= s Ultrafast Computer Tomogram you can sort of look into the heart from the outside and measure the de= positions in the coronary arteries with pictures that are taken wit= hin milliseconds. Our research inv= olved patients who already had a cardiovascular disease and would therefore have depositions in = the coronary arteries. I am not going into this whole research. You can f= ind it documented completely in my= book " Why animals don't get heart attacks. " I would now like to show you o= ne of the impressive pictures we came across during this research. On the left side you can see a he= art, a cross section of one side of the heart. This white spot, which= is enlarged here, shows depositio= ns in the left coronary artery. On the right the same patient, the same part of the heart, a picture o= f the coronary artery after one year of taking the vitamin programme. The= depositions have disappeared, = completely. Did this man have a bypass operation? Did they push the depositions away with angiopla= sty? No, the cells of the arterial walls were supplied with vitamin= s and other bio-fuel substances, and= all of a sudden they could function normally again. The disappearance of the depos= itions as we see it in this picture has never before been possible wi= th any medication or with any kin= d of therapy, diet or other measure. For the first time in the histor= y of medicine, with the help of vit= amins. Does that surprise us? Certainly not. What other way could there= be? Even the sailors, when the= y did not get any vitamins, especially vitamin C, died of what? Of sc= urvy. The arterial wall has weakened= and starts to tear, the sailors bled to death. So five hundred ye= ars ago the connection between a vitam= in shortage and damage to the arteries was already clear. And still I have to stand here, before inq= uisitive people like you who are now wondering why you never hear abou= t this on the evening news. About a year ago, in April 199= 8, a German television programme had a feature about our work. T= hey broadcast an interview with Le= w Meyer, one of our research patients, whose depositions had disappeared completely with th= e help of our vitamin programme. Before the cameras Lew Meyer s= aid: " You know, after one year I ca= me for my check-up and the researchers did not believe what they saw= on the x-rays. This had never hap= pened, that depositions that had been clearly visible before had simpl= y vanished. They asked me to com= e back the next day, as they thought it was a technical error. But the= results were the same. Now eve= ryone believed it. " But Mr. Meyer's case is not un= ique. On page 47 in " Good health in possible! " you will find the fo= llowing testimonial of a cardiac patie= nt on our vitamin programme: " Already after four weeks my general condition had improved. For th= e check-up I had an angioplasty examination. The diagnosis was that since the start of the vitamin= programme the depositions in the coronary arteries are diminishing. " T= he patient sent us his x-rays as = proof of the results. Reality. And from this moment on all cardiac patie= nts can make use of this knowledge= .. The second common disease that= has spread world-wide is high blood pressure disease. This disease also keeps on spreading. Why? = Because that is what they want, the people who make billions on this disease. This is prob
