Hello! I was told when I was a little girl that all the tap water I have

drank had turned my teeth permanently yellow, due to the high flouride in

the tap water.( I have drank about a gallon a day since I was 5.) Could this

be true? and what would ya'll suggest I try to get them white again? I try

to drink better water now, but not always. I have used H2o2 and while it

feels good to the gums, it does not help in turning my teeth back to white!I

take excellent care of my teeth and didnot have a cavity til I was 27. yrs

old (it mortified me)Any other suggestions, that I could try, that is

relatively inexpensive? thank you! Lorie---- Original Message -----

Yep, my teeth are yellow. I had heard that baking soda can help make them

white again.

Strange thing is: most of my life I have lived in areas where there is no

fluoride in the water. Christchurch in New Zealand as no fluoride in its

water (I used to live in Christchurch) and the other times I have lived in

rural areas in where water is drawn from artesian wells. So, of course no

added fluoride. Maybe yellow teeth is a natural thing?

I haven't drunk lots of tea or coffee to cause discolouration either. But I

did have a rather nasty case of gingivitis about three years ago...maybe

that has something to do with it...

I don't know, but I have always drank loads of water, and I sure hope yellow

teeth is not a natural thing of aging! <grin> Cuz, I'd hate to see 'em when

I get old! I had braces put on when I was 17 to correct a gap between my 2

front teeth, so big in fact, when my jaw was broken, i could fit a straw in

the gap!! When the braces came off, It was better, but then I'm starting to

think, maybe we should stay the way God made us, and not go tryin' to change

things! Cuz a few years later, I got me a nice big cavity! And my teeth

turned 'yella' after that! So, them braces, to make me purty, probably

weren't a good idea! Lorie

Hi

I have a yellow line across the bottom of my teeth - like you could draw a

line across, and one half would be yellow, and the other white. My dentist

said this was due to having antibiotics when my second teeth were coming

through, or being formed. I did have a lot of abx as a child, so I think he

knows what he is on about. Just another side effect from abx, not to

mention candida, etc, etc....

Tracy - still smiling...
