Guest guest
Group, Like I mentioned in my last post, I'm 500 posts behind since I joined. It's probably already been mentioned, but what is the best thing to take for pain. I've had two back surgeries and need another one. I've got to be at least able to get my housework done. And just be just generally out of pain, without prescription medicine, but just as strong as. I'm unfortunately still on Klonopin and Serzone. But away from 10 yrs. Xanax. Just FYI, for adverse reactions. Thank's, Marlene P.S. I'll be trying to catch up on the posts that I've missed. Looks like great info. Guest guest
I take 2,000 mg of MSM and it has really helped in the pain that I have suffered from. The Capsules are better than the tablets, and space it out, 1,000 am and 1,000 pm. Should you try it, let me know the results! Guest guest
Also for pain, you can rub topically essential oils. Some, you have to be careful of, because they can cause skin irritation. For those, you mix with essential oil with a massage oil. To be the most effective, the essential oil should be a therapeutic grade oil. Guest guest
May I ask Marlene what the surgery is for. Ther might be a way to get out of it with herbs. As for your pain I use willow bark tea for general pain you can make it as strong as you like or as weak. It has the same compounds as asprin in it but does not hurt your guts the same. I give it to my 10 year old with no worrys as one would havewith asprin. Peg > Find a job, post your resume. http://careers.
Guest guest
Joy, Yes, peppermint is very good for pain. We've also used wintergreen with good success. There are some oil blends made specially for pain. Lynn <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< " He did not send us into this world to suffer. " FREE Audio Tape " The Missing Link " and Newsletter. Guest guest
Gettingwell, P Mahan <bogduck> wrote: > May I ask Marlene what the surgery is for. Ther might > be a way to get out of it with herbs. Peg, In December of '98, I had surgery for a partially herniated disc. I had the second surgery two months later for leaking spinal fluid. He cut in the same place and put a stitch in my spinal cord. He said before the first surgery, that the rest of the disc could herniate at any time. I think that happened at least a year ago and probably more damage has been done by it not being fixed. I have no insurance now and have applied for disability. So, I can hang up any doctor doing anything without insurance. So, I'm just having to hang in until my disability is approved. I've got pain down the sciatic nerve down my leg also and sometimes it feels like the vertebrae are just rubbing together. Like the disc is totally not inbetween them. I hurt also very bad where the cut was. The first hadn't gotten healed, before I got cut in the same place again. I have a lot of pain in the muscle there. Hope this makes sense. I wish I'd never have had the first surgery. Marlene
