Guest guest
I have been dieting since July with the help of an appetite supressent. So far I have lost 27lbs. I went from 137lbs down to 110lbs, I'm 5'2 " and 54yo. I have had no negative side effects until recently when I started getting ulcers in my mouth. I have tried to drink plenty of water each day thinking that may help. I also recently had blood work done by a new GYN and everything was perfect. Any suggestions on how to treat and avoid mouth ulcers? Lois Hansen
Guest guest
Actually this might be good. I read in a nutrician book, some years ago, that this happened when when stored toxins in the body came out so maybe you are in detox and it will stop soon. I'm sure somebody on the list knows more about it. How long has it been going on? ron _____________ Get the FREE email that has everyone talking at http://www.mail2world.com <> > > Lois Hansen > 11/3/2001 9:38:36 PM > Gettingwell > Mouth Ulcers > > I have been dieting since July with the help of an appetite > supressent. Guest guest
Try Lysine. Mouth ulcers are often an imbalance of the arginine/lysine amino acid balance. A goldenseal mouth wash helps a lot too. You may have to take 3-4 grams of lysine the first couple of days to make an impact. This works for me. Guest guest
Hi Lois, Are you talking about cold sores like fever blisters in the mouth? If so, l-lysine is great for that. Also, I think using CS as a mouthwash would help. Maybe even OOO. I've heard of people even brushing their teeth with it. Congradulations on your weight loss. I wish you success in correcting your eating habits in order to maintain the loss, but more importantly to maintain health. Easy does it on those appetite supressent! Correcting the not so healthy eating habits is the key. Take care, Gail - Lois Hansen <loishansen Saturday, November 03, 2001 2:38 PM Mouth Ulcers > I have been dieting since July with the help of an appetite > supressent. So far I have lost 27lbs. Peel, puree & swish with fresh aloe. Then swallow the rest. It's good for almost everything. Starris
Guest guest
Be carful with this stuff it will stain everything purple But yes it works for all the things this person said and it is good for a open wonds on the outside to. THE LAST TIME i BOUGHT IT THE PHARMASIST SOLD ME THE CRYSTALS SO i COULD MIX MY OWEN. Peg Gentian violet will help if you can find it. The time I bought it was from a regular pharmacy but I had to ask for it. They had it behind the counter. This was a smaller pharmacy not one of the chains. Will stain the mouth purple, this blocks out light and bacteria in the mouth which help these sores to grow, will die. I used this remedy on a 2 month old for thrush after 3 antibotics (before i knew about herbs) didn't work. The dr told me it was something used in the olden days.
