Guest guest
Karen, Shelf basics starting out with oils; there are so many it can be hard to choose but I will write down some that helped me starting out that I still keep on my shelf now. Lavender (this is #1 for me on the oils! I use this by far, more than any other oil) tangerine sweet orange lemon lemongrass rosemary rose or rosewood (rose is very hard to find and very, very expensive) chamomile (very, very, expensive) peppermint (right up there with Lavender!) geranium grapefruit These are all great. I would not use ANY of them without information on each one. You can get a book or use websites (internet is LOADED with information) and just make SURE you are using reliable sources. This way you can see what oils can be mixed with what other oils, what oils to avoid if nursing or pregnant, what oils to avoid with high blood pressure and that kind of thing. Enjoy! Love, Sandy:)
Guest guest
Hi Greg, It is nice to meet you and it sounds as if you may have some information on what native plants in the southwest may have EO's that could be useful. I would like to talk to you more about it and to find out about the lists that you run. Thank You, Jack Richardson - " ZeMaster " <zemaster Sunday, January 21, 2001 2:08 PM [AX] HI > HI, > My name is Greg and I've been in Aromatherapy for about 20 years, 1/2 > Apache and a 1/4 Cherokee. Guest guest
Wanted to add my 2 or 3 cents worth on mainsream medicine. When I was 3 months pregnant with my son I found out I had High Blood Pressure, Subsequently, he stopped growing inutero at about 30 weeks. When they induced my labor and he was born at 3#. (he was a huge preemie they say, but 18 yrs ago, that was quite small) Anyway, when he was born he was dead. He was blue, and not breathing. There were 7 people in the DR waiting for him to be born, knowing it would be rough. All I was told is that it's a boy and he has all his fingers and toes. The Dr.s placed a very long needle into his heart (epinephrine) and he very slowly came back to us! He breathed on his own from then on, no respirators, nothing. The Dr. then said that Someone else was in that DR , for he had never seen such a miracle as had just happened! He spent over a month in the hosp. and at 4#.8oz he was allowed to come home. Today, that boy is 18 yrs old and 6 ft tall, has 1% body fat and is an A plus student in his senior class! If it were not for the Lord, and those DR's, I feel very strongly that he would not be here today! He is the most delightful boy I have ever known!
