Effect of chemo and radiation on the bones

I mentioned my opinion that my treatments of chemo and/or radiation had

contributed to my problems with tooth decay, and an MD stated that yes, chemo

and radiation affect the bones, and that they could contribute to tooth decay.

Now, I would like to know if any of you have experienced this. I have heard

both that calcium can contribute to cancer as well as calcium can assist in

fighting cancer. The only calcium I get now is from vegetables and fruit, as I

am not using any dairy products other than cottage cheese with flaxseed oil. I

have just begun researching calcium and cancer, and would like any information

any of you may have on this. Thanks, Mildred

I do not know about this, but as a 65 y.o.woman, i faithfully took my

calcium as touted by the world. i was in agaony, but did not know why.

Finally, I eliminated all supplements, and slowly put back one by one.

Yep...it was the calcium . i feel soooooo much better NOT taking it. I

am completely bewildred./

I took a zinc pill every day for about 10 years, (for migraines- it worked)

then was diagnosed with a very ugly form of

heart disease.

Said to be incurable.

Later learned from a naturopath that ANY mineral supplement taken by itself

(without proper balance) can do very

serious bad things to our bodies.

Especially with the metals.

Usually, RDA are given in very small doses as they are toxic in large ones.

Iron, copper, zinc, chromium, etc. have to be thought out if you're going to add

them to your regimen.

You have to become self-educated if you're going to megadose with supplements.

It's not that I don't believe in the system--I don't believe that there IS a

system!
