Guest guest
Hi all, has anyone tried the Udo's oil and had any success ?? I know miracles don't happen overnight, unfortunately, but i have been having 1 tablespoon daily for 10 days now, and there is no change in me, even my skin hasn't got that velvety feel it is supposed to get after just a few days. Regards, Dorothy.
Guest guest
Hi Dorothy What kind of problem are you using Udo's oil for? It is my understanding that Udo's oil has a mixture of EFAs but has to much omega 9 - which your body can produce anyway. You might get better effect from Barleans Flax Seed Oil or Cod Liver Oil and maybe THC free Hemp Seed Oil. I had a fall almost 5 yrs ago that *jolted* all my muscles, my specialist likened it to fibromyalgia and chronic pain syndrome, i also have arthritis. >>>>>It is my understanding that Udo's oil has a mixture of EFAs but has to much omega 9 - which your body can produce anyway. It has too many ingredients for a 2 fingered typist to type out, but at the bottom it says. The oils in this blend supply a range of fatty acids including a 2:1:1 ratio of omega 3, 6 and 9. >>>>>You might get better effect from Barleans Flax Seed Oil All our f/s oils are locally made, and if the oils are anything like the vitamins we get here, then they are very inferior. >>>>>Cod Liver Oil Tried that for about 3-4 months. We were warned about 3-4 yrs ago not to use c/l oil and h/l oil, as they come from Atlantic fish, and the Atlantic is one of the most polluted oceans in the world. >>>>>maybe THC free Hemp Seed Oil. I doubt very much that i will find any of that here, well, not in the shops anyway, if you get my meaning. LOL Regards, Dorothy.
Guest guest
Hi Again Dorothy Well i can say that EFA are dose dependent so the more you take the faster it will work. But at a minimum dose of what is recommended by manufacture it may take 2 - 4 months to feel results. If you doubled the dose it should take less than half that time. Also i would risk the pollutants in cod liver oil to attain the results which i believe would overcome the pollutants. Guest guest
>>>>>If you doubled the dose it should take less than half that time. Hi again Rick, how about if i took 4 times the amount ?? just joking. Actually, i was only told to take 1 tabsp daily, but i have just read on the box it came in, to take 2 tabsp daily, so about 10 mins ago i took my 2nd tabsp. >>>>>Also i would risk the pollutants in cod liver oil to attain the results which i believe would overcome the pollutants. After almost 4 months of taking that daily, i got to the stage where just thinking about it made me gag, it did'nt matter what i mixed it with either. How good is the hemp oil ?? After i sent the last email to you, i made a few phone calls and found out there is a local guy who exports it overseas, havn't been able to get hold of him yet. Also, the lady at the h/f shop reckons that our f/s oil is the best in the world, still, she would have to say that, wouldn't she ?? Regards, Dorothy. Guest guest
Hi again Actually i've taken 4 tablespoons of cod liver oil a day spread out over the day for several days with no adverse reactions. And it seems to work best with garlic pills/cloves. The taste to me is like heaven when compared to the pain it alleviated. Also if cod liver oil is fresh it really doesn't taste fishy but MUST be refrigerated. Here is a link for THC free Hemp Seed Oil - i don't know if they ship out of USA - their product source is England. Hemp Oil tastes like Sunflower Oil. http://www.store./hempnut/hempnutoil.html Rick Dorothy wrote: > >>>>>If you doubled the dose it should take less than half that time. > > Hi again Rick, > how about if i took 4 times the amount ?? just joking. > Actually, i was only told to take 1 tabsp daily, but i have just read on the > box it came in, to take 2 tabsp daily, so about 10 mins ago i took my 2nd > tabsp. > > >>>>>Also i would risk the pollutants in cod liver oil to attain the results > which i believe would overcome the pollutants. > > After almost 4 months of taking that daily, i got to the stage where just > thinking about it made me gag, it did'nt matter what i mixed it with either. > > How good is the hemp oil ?? Hi again Rick, how would you rate it on a scale of 1-10 compared to the other oils ?? >>>>>but MUST be refrigerated. Guest guest
Hi Dorothy This is the web site that triggered my gestalt: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov:80/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uid\ s=11341974 & dopt=Abstract Note the dose related aspect of the abstract. It seems that cod liver oil is the strongest source of DHA in natural form, that why i tend to use it more. I also use several other oils.
