I am progressing ok now, but will keep this in mind. I went off zoloft cold turkey about three years ago because it was knocking me out. Everytime I drove my daughter to kindergarten, her life was in my hands. When I fell asleep in a shower at the health club, I regained conciousness (never did learn how to spell that word...lol) at the hospital with a doctor I'd never seen before telling me that they had called my doctor and he told them to tell me to INCREASE the zoloft!!! I told them that I was not going to put one more mg of it into my body until my brain woke up. My brain felt " drugged " for several more days and then I hit one of my all time lows. The doctor wouldn't prescribe anything different. I kept telling myself that it wouldn't last forever and that I would never give up. I laid in bed and cried for several days, but when it was over I seemed fine. It's funny how, when I am going through those suicidal " episodes " I feel like the weakest person in the world, but then looking back on it, I can realize how strong I was to make it through to see the brighter days. However, I had wised up about quitting cold turkey, that is why I'm taking it slow this time with the Paxil. I've had a few bumps in the road through this process, but I'm convinced it's because I'm detoxing from alot of other stuff as well as trying to adjust to the lower doses of paxil. I'm feeling fine today emotionally, and my head is clear again. And Lynn, I did start my period...lol. I've been to prozactruth, met Lynn, followed a link there to CreatingVibrantHealth, where I found the invitation to come here and meet Frank and more of Lynn's friends. It is so very awsome to find a group like this, made up of so many people wanting to help others find health. I origionally set out to find a support group for bipolar parents to learn some strategies to help me cope the best I could with my disorder and do the least amount of harm to my children. Instead, I am finding that I don't have to live with *bipolar disorder* at all and have been very consistent in my parenting ever since I started consuming the nutrition that my body was obviously lacking. Well, my moods aren't swinging anymore, but my mouth (and fingers) sure can run on and on and on. I'll check out homeopathy if I find myself up against a wall again, but I think that what I'm doing with the nutrition is working. Thanks for letting me know about it. Guest guest
>>>>>I'm struggling right now with withdrawal from an antidepressent called Paxil. Have either of you 2 ladies tried Homeopathy ?? I was on Arapax, (similar to prozac) voltaren, anti-inflammatory, and various pain killers, for a muscle complaint that my Specialist said was similar to fibromyalgia, plus, i also have arthritis. With homeopathy, you can't take both, so i had to go *cold turkey* Well, from that day (approx 6 months ago) i have only had 3 lots of pain killers for headaches, i am still not *cured* and i am unable to do anything really physical, without paying for it the next day. But i know i have accomplished much, just by not having to take any more of those poisons. Maybe i will find that *cure* in this new group, fingers crossed. The Homeopathy group i am in, is at, http://www.homeopathy-home.com/ then click on *questionaire* Geir Marcussen (GM) is the *boss*, the group is in Norway, and it is free. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Dear Group, If any of you are taking any psyco active medications, Please do NOT go off them cold turkey. It is very dangerous and you could die or suffer great harm. There are sites for help for people to help you get off safely. I do not think homeopathy will do it, and you could be putting your self in jeopardy to try getting off that way. If any want more information, email me.
