DISTILLED WATER

I have read so called expert opinion that pure water is bad for you. This is

how distorted information can cause confusion and we become overwhelmed with

indecision. Use your own logical reasoning when these doubts arise. What is

pure water? If it contains anything other than two parts hydrogen and one

part oxygen, then it is not pure. Rainwater would be pure if it did not pick

up contaminants in the atmosphere. The argument is that we need minerals in

water and that pure water will leach minerals out of the body. This is just

not true. The body will accept inorganic minerals but the cells can not use

them and they wind up as residue to form stones and hardening of the

arteries. The body can use only organic minerals that come from food. Plants

can use inorganic and convert it to organic for use by the body.

Read what Dr. Christopher has to say.

For a great education in water, go to:

http://www.thewolfeclinic.com/

I think their site is excellent. Read about alkalinity/acidity and

Crystal Energy drops for alkaline water.

The site for Willard Water is also excellent.

Lynn,

This is exactly the confusion I was talking about. I don't think we have to

add anything to pure water to make it better. The cells of the body only

recognize pure water. If we add stuff to it, the liver will only take it out

and leave pure water to be used by the cells. The vitamins, minerals and Ph

is determined by the food we eat.

Is there any evidence to back up the fact that drinking soft water is good

or bad for you?

If you will read the studies done of people who live at high altitudes and

drink glacial water you will find that they are the healthiest and longest

lived people on earth (Hunza).

When you look at the pandemic of hardening of the arteries and kidney stones

in people who drink hard water I think the evidence is clear.

Dear Tom,

I think if there are good things in the water (good minerals) my body

will benefit, if there are bad things in it my body and its systems

will be harmed (chlorine, floride,etc.)

My body knows what to do.

Not clear at all.

Hard water has been shown to be heart protective.

As far as soft water goes, I dont think you are talking about commercially

softened water, but I wouldn't drink it on a bet.

I have a neighbor who showed me his tomatoe plant starts one year, and they were

all withered and dead or dying.

It turned out that he had been watering them with water softened by a Culligan

system that had recently been installed.

Distilled water wouldn't worry me.

Chuck,

I don't know what kind of chemicals they add to hard water to soften it,

maybe sodium but these chemicals are probably what killed the tomato plants.

When I was talking about soft water it only meant that it didn't have

inorganic minerals in it. I can't for the life of me understand how

something so essential to life could become so controversial. Our bodies are

70% water and I want only pure water in mine. I don't want Chlorine,

Fluorine or any dissolved limestone or rock. The human body can not utilize

rock but it will take it in and stick it to the inside of your arteries or

turn your kidneys to stone. Talk to doctors who have done autopsies and they

will tell you that they see arteries of stone that takes a hack saw to cut

through. I distill my own water, if you could see what comes out of it, I

don't think you would be willing to drink it and this water comes from 600

ft. down.

This is one simple basic thing that we could do to improve our health, yet

very few do it.

Yup, I think so too, but terms must be identifies and clear, else some college

kid is gonna think it's ok to drink water from a softener and it could kill him.

Wait 'til you get into structured water and ways of doing it. Nothing is simple.

An expert is one who learns more and more about less and less...

I go along with flourine and chlorine, but minerals are important.

As I said before, hard water areas have been shown to be heart protective!

Ignore it at your peril.

Willard Water is good but I have real doubts about Crystal Energy

Drops.A liquid mineral from the Great Salt Lake is good to add to

distilled

water for complete trace minerals though not theraputic as WW.

I can't address the Brita in particular but distilling is the only

way to remove minerals. Since my water supply has an

abundance of undesireable minerals I distill.

I then add 1/2 ts of " Concentrace " trace mineral drops to

each gal.

Jean,

I think you can get Concentrace at most healthfood stores. This is an issue

that I have not resolved in my mine. I have distilled my water in order to

have pure water without any dissolved solids. Is it a good idea to put these

solids back? Can we depend on food for minerals including a good whole food

supplement? Will distilled water leach out minerals needed by the body?

These are questions that I can't answer and after a little research, I don't

think anybody else can either. Some creditable people say that distilled

water will only leach out unwanted inorganic minerals and others say it will

leach out minerals to the point of death, so what should we do? I have just

read where the Mayo Clinic recommends distilled water. My personal opinion

at this point is to drink only distilled water and take a good whole food

supplement that includes alfalfa, barley grass, wheat grass, spirulina,

chlorella, horsetail herb, watercress, iris moss, iceland moss, oat straw

and brewers yeast.

I'm with you Tom, I don't know what to think about the distilled water

either. I know my nails tell me I need minerals and the minerals I am

taking arn't doing the job. My grandma used to buy and use mineral water in

a gallon jug, it was expensive in the 60's like $60.00. I know she swore

by it. I have read her testimony in regards to the mineral water. She said

it saved her live. I sure wish I knew of her source.
