Guest guest
Frank, ok - I'll speak up. lol. Here are some things that I would be interested in learning more about: 1) How to rebalance the brain chemicals after the use of an SSRI drug 2) What vitamins / herbs are safe for the 'chemically sensitive' 3) More information on the links between depression/anxiety and the nutritional deficiencies that may cause them 4) Can heart disease and narrowing of the arteries be reversed 5) What is the least painful way to stop smoking - and how to repair the lungs afterwards 6) Fybromyalgia - is it parasites, toxic buildup, chronic muscle tension, or what ?? 7) The use of relaxation techniques to reduce stress 8) How to boost your metabolism without the use of drugs 9) What blood tests do NOT show 10) How much should we trust herbalists, etc ... when is it time to see your doctor (if at all) 11) Information on any permanent damage that the use of SSRI's can cause 12) Ways to lower bp & heart rate without the use of drugs 13) How to rebuild a weakened immune system thats it for now .. is this what you are looking for ?? I can start posting any information I find, if that will help. p.s. - i found the arthritis stuff very interesting - might try to get my mom to try it. Guest guest
Frank, I understand, I also am not up to going into all the details of my illness. My health started going downhill in about 1980. I started my search for a solution in 1990 and have made some real progress to date with absolutely no help from the orthodox medical community. You are right about trying to keep a lid on the spam and useless junk. The smoke and mirrors stuff just makes it harder for legitimate alternative products to be accepted. The doctor within is the greatest healing force we have and just have to learn how to use it. Guest guest
I'll say hi and explain why I'm here. I have a 10 year old with autism. I know his autism is a result to modern American medicine and diet. I have been reading everything I can get my hands on for the last 8 years regarding nutrition and health. I've finally found a " program " to support his little body so it can heal itself. In the process, I feel better than I have ever felt in my life(I'm 40), even better than when I was a teenager. I'll try not to be a " lurker just gathering data " and offer input and ask questions. Ann in Memphis

Guest guest
Angie, Are you asking about the program I have William on? It's basically been a journey to find what works for William and what is harmful for him. Through the help of a naturapath(sp?), I believe this can be a lifestyle for us without feeling deprived of anything. Autistic children can have candida issues, gluten/casien intolerances among other digestion problems. William was on an anti-yeast for 4 years and a gluten/casein free diet for a year. The idea of salicylate free diet in addition to the GFCF and anticandida diet worried me. I didn't know what the long term effects of such a limited diet would do. I did find out that some dairy doesn't bother him(cultured dairy products are ok) He is a little sensitive to wheat, I use spelt with no problem and when I do use wheat, I soak it overnight in yogurt or buttermilk) No limit on fruit and veggies. ( It never dawned on me to offer the child raw veggies-but he actually likes them) Everymorning, he gets a " cocktail " of: fresh apple juice 2 raw eggs some of a tonic of equal parts of:garlic, onion, horseradish, ginger and 1/2 part cayenne in a base of apple cider vinegar. a nutrition powder his naturpath makes up calcium Udo's oil DMSO By allowing him to have fruit that was restricted on the other diets-I was able to remove all sugar from his diet. He drinks detoxing herbal teas and his diet also includes raw butter and cheese virgin coconut oil. This is all I can think of. The main thing is that he doesn't seem to want anything he can't have and the other diets were a constant struggle to keep this and that away from him. I hope I didn't make this confusing.
