Guest guest
Dear Group, For all of the candida sufferers present (or anyone with intestional problems), here is a different approach. Instead of trying to kill the offending invaders with a " medicine " (prescription or herbal) it is possible to fight with " good " bacteria. Yes, you know about probiotic capsuls or tablets, but have you heard about these? two homegrown liquid probiotics (many people claim health giving properties to both of these substances, but one of the greatest is the high level of good bacteria produced and ingested into your stomach and intestines daily) They are called kefir and kombucha tea. Here are some websites for your perusal. > And the kefir making site at: > http://chariot.net.au/~dna/kefirpage.html > > The kombucha sites are at: > Kombucha sites: > http://w3.trib.com/~kombu/PFAQ/homep.htm > http://www.kombu.de/english.htm > You can also order any or all cultures from a place called > GEM cultures at: > G.E.M. Good luck, Frank
Guest guest
Frank - I know you don't want MLM products here (I don't sell any of them as you know), but so many of the items sold on the internet are sold by " distributors " . At any rate, as you also know, I've been " at war " with Candida for most of my life and am now off all antifungal medications (Diflucan, Sporonax, Nystatin, Lamisil) because I have found a completely natural product that is working - an amazing feat for me. This said, I'm not sure whether to post any information here on what I've found, only to let others know that I have found a viable product that is working for me when nothing else did. Guest guest
Dear Lynn, Thank you for your consideration. If you have found something that works for you, I think we would welcome that information. Your trying to help others is based on caring and not on financial gain. That is much different than someone's thinly disguised sales pitch so common on the web. I respect your/others opinion of the effectiveness for yourselves of the things that you use. Guest guest
I used to take Kefir daily and then after I withdrew from benzodiazapines (i.e. ativan), just a few tablespoons of it would make me extremely dizzy and brain fogged. I have the same problem with yogurt and would dearly love to be able to do the kefir again. It is delicious and I beleive so good at reintroducing good intestinal flora. Any ideas anyone. I must admit that I did not make it myself, but used the Lifeway plain one (no added flavors). Could the lactose content still be too high in the store bought brand. Sugar and milk sugars do make my withdrawal symptoms worse. Help??????? Guest guest
Kefir made yourself (it is easy) using the real " grains " from the kefir-making list (one of the ) or G.E.M. in CA will be much superior to anything from a store. Especially if you could get raw milk to make it.
