I have heard that that is a vitamin B deficiency, just can't remember which one. I read this in the book "Dead Doctors Don't Lie" by Dr. Joel Wallach and Dr. Ma Lin. Since then, whenever I get these I take a vitamin B supplement and green leafy veggies. It seems to help.

"...‘How will they learn to read?’ you ask, and my answer is ‘Remember the lessons of Massachusetts.’ When children are given whole lives instead of age-graded ones in cellblocks, they learn to read, write, and do arithmetic with ease, if those things make sense in the kind of life that unfolds around them." – John Taylor Gatto

My husband used to have a problem with this. My mother told him to take L-Lysine

(an essential amino acid). It worked! He has taken a tablet every day for many

years. If he does not take it for a few days (supply runs out), the problem

resurfaces.
