Guest guest
A product that has been used in parts of Europe and Asia for decades to deal with Arthritis is a product called Glucosamine. Glucosamine acts to repair damaged cartilage, which is the root of Arthritis, especially Osteo Arthritis. Glucosamine is a substance that occurs naturally in the body and is necessary for building the cartilage which cushions the joint. Glucosamine does not mask the pain, it works to help repair damaged cartilage (the root of the problem). In other words, Glucosamine relieves pain by helping to restore and normalize joint function. Most people begin to notice a difference in about two to six weeks after beginning to take glucosamine. Then they are able to wean themselves off the pain medications. See the attached link for some of the studies relating to Glucosamine. http://www.rmbarry.com/mel/glucosamine.html I do sell the product referred to in this link, but there are other places as well that you can purchase glucosamine. Therefore I am not asking for you to purchase this product from me, but check around for alternative sources. There are several different types of Glucosamine, however the two most common are glucosamine HCL and glucosamine sulfate. After they are metabolized, both supply the body with the same active ingredient-glucosamine. However, glucosamine HCL is purer, more stabile, and delivers more of the beneficial glucosamine than the sulfate version. Glucosamine HCL should also be less expensive, especially when you account for concentration. I myself have not tried this product, but others who have in double blind clinical studies seem to have positive results, using it. Since I am not a physician, you should check with your doctor before starting any new medications. Guest guest
Good to know. Also worth a try: Even CHEAPER (5.50 USD) KWAN LOONG oil, available at Chinese herbal shops (and, I would expect, online). A very aromatic oil, I use it on some cotton when I get bad sinus congestion. Very good liniment, tho'. I wouldn't be without it it makes my upper back pain go away at night so I can sleep. Jack
