I rernernber reading that in The Medical Mafia by Dr Guylaine Lanctot years ago The IOM came to that conclusion in 1978, I think it was , then again in 1986 the figures had not improved - there was still no scientific basis for 85 - 90% of modern "scientific" nedicine.
