I have had a low thyroid for years, but the past few months my Doctore said I was taking too much and he has been lowering it. I was find until recently and He says the doasge is now the right amount. I have heard that coconut oil will help someone with a low thyriod. Can I put this in a smoothie or do I have to fry with it? Guest guest Posted April 16, 2008 Report Share Posted April 16, 2008 Betty, You can do both as long as you work your way up to 3TBSPs a day. Start with 1/2 tsp and work it up every 7 days.
