Thanks for the Swanson's tip. That's an extraordinarily low Q10 price!

It's also in the soft-gel form, which, I remember reading, was a desireable

way of taking it. If my calculations are correct, you'd pay around 69.5

cents a day, for 200 mg, for 50 days! That's what many companies charge for

100mg a day, which is still a strong dose.

Dr.Jon's price is $0.0041 per milligram, or nearly half the cost of

Swanson. However, Dr.Jon is closing membership in a few days so after that

his prices will be a moot point to anyone not a co-op member.

I think you miscalculated here. Swanson item #SWU 561 provides 100, 100mg

Co Q10 softgels, for $34.79. If I take 2 softgels daily (total 200mg; the

dose I prefer), it will come to 69.6 cents a day.

Dr. Jon offers 60, 60mg caps, for $14.68. If you take 3 caps daily (total

180mg), it will come to 73.4 cents a day; and that's for 20 mg less daily.

Clearly, the Swanson product is a good deal cheaper.

Shipping charges are the same for both companies.

Morning John,

Clearly, the Swanson product is a good deal cheaper.

>Shipping charges are the same for both companies.

I order from Swanson regularly. Their prices are about the best on most

items.

What do you think about their Green MAX product? I use 1 tbs per day of

this material.

The product has a good blend. The probiotic count is good. However the

way it is stated,

" at the time of manufacture " suggest that it will have declined over time.

Likely other similar products do the same thing.

I simply add the Green MAX to my daily protein drink, along with two tbs

flax oil and two tbs of whipping cream.

The idea is to get more energy from fat and less from carbs. Also just

started checking my glucose from time to time.

Thus far, it ranges from 83 to 110.

At present I am not taking any CoQ10 or Chromium. I just happen to be out

of these at the moment.

If anyone wants to see the " world champion " supplement freak, take a look

at this.

I think someone on here may have posted the parent link. This is awesome

to say the least.

I was comparing Dr.Jon's price to that given by Ron for Swanson

(about

..007-.008 cents per mg). The price you gave (100, 100mg Co Q10 softgels,

for $34.79) works out to $.003497/mg, which is 15% cheaper than Dr.Jon.

CoQ10

CoQ10 is so dear here - the best deal currently about 30mg x 30 caps $11 (w/s) otherwise you get 10mg caps in the supermarket for the same cost and they say anything less than 100mg a day is not worth taking

What is Ubiquinol? Is it the same or different from CoQ10?

A. Ubiquinol and CoQ10 are very

closely related. Ubiquinone or CoQ10 is the oxidized form of the

molecule. This means it has to be converted to a non-oxidized form

before it can perform its work. Ubiquinol is the active form of this

nutrient. Our bodies convert CoQ10 to Ubiquinol – which is the form

needed to produce cellular energy. Until recently, it was not

possible to use Ubiquinol as a supplement because it is very unstable

outside the human body. But research has now found a way to keep this

molecule stable so it can be successfully taken in supplement form.
