Concerning the recent problem with contaminants in pet foods, the

Chinese spray a rat poison on grains. That poison has shown up in

tests here on some of their products. The FDA and trading companies

are not forthright in coming forward about this. They do not want to

create a public outcry that will stop such trade with China.

Heaven forbid that we offend a trade partner if the price is merely

our health and that of our pets!

 

Incidentally, oleander is commonly used as a rat poison - it is indeed

a highly toxic plant UNLESS it is properly prepared as in " oleander

soup " , Anvirzel and OPC.
