Guest guest
Yet another outrage - and one against one of the healthiest foods on the planets: raw almonds! From Roger Haeske's Blogspot (http://roger-haeske.blogspot.com/) No More Raw Almonds <http://roger-haeske.blogspot.com/2007/04/no-more-raw-almonds.html> California Almond Board To Cook All Almonds The California Almond Board has decided to pasteurize all almonds. Needless to say I'm not for this policy as this process will in effect cook the almonds and therefore make them less than ideal. This new policy will eliminate almonds from the diet of raw foodists. At least California grown almonds which are the world's largets supply of almonds. Here's an email sent from Living Tree Community Foods Almond pasteurization protest Dear Friend, The California Almond Board has passed a mandatory almond pasteurization order on Friday, March 30th. It mandates that all almonds be pasteurized. This is a gross insult to the live food movement and to organic farming. The enlightened and progressive California Certified Organic Farmers has the power to contest this. Please write to Peggy Miars, Executive Director peggy. Ask her to mobilize and protest. Speak from your heart and send us a copy. Jesse Schwartz President Living Tree Community Foods jesse Here's something else you can do. If you want to still eat raw almonds then you should fill out this petition below. http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/mandatory-almond-pasteurization-is-w\ rong.html <http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/mandatory-almond-pasteurization-is-\ wrong.html> For all the details of this plan that was already passed with little consumer notification, please read this page. http://www.almondboard.com/Programs/content.cfm?ItemNumber=890 & snItemNum\ ber=450 <http://www.almondboard.com/Programs/content.cfm?ItemNumber=890 & snItemNu\ mber=450> Take a minute to make your opinion known and the California Almond Board just might change their minds. Guest guest
I followed the links and responded. I am completely incensed over the presumptous gall of these control-freaks to think they can make it better and safer than the Creator. As my good friend, Malcomb Beck says, " One of these days, He is going to take a look at the plants and animals currently living and say, " None of this is what I made. Let's wipe the earth clean of this junk! " Dr. Goebel ______________________________\ ____ It's here! Your new message! Guest guest
I wrote the almond board this morning, told them it was a bad idea and if they did that we would just quit eating almonds. " It's just that simple. " Jack
Guest guest
I just signed the petition and left my own comment. Write the California Almond Board and they will change their mind? No they won't! This is just another blatant attempt to strip us of our health so we will feed the doctors and drug companies. Funny this should happen as they are outlawing all natural supplements. Guest guest
Welcome to our group, May! Yeah, cooking almonds and irradiating foods but merely callng them pastuerized, the ways MSG is mislabeled - the attacks against our freedom of health and right to know are everywhere. I personally think that there would be a huge hue and cry if they ever actually outlawed all supplements or brought all alternative healing under the auspices of the FDA. But Big Pharma plays to keep and has ever since the early 1900's when the formed the IG Farben cartel for the purpose of controlling the world drug trade and replacing all natural man made remedies with ones they created in their labs. Bringing supplements and alternative treatments under the control of an arm or mainstream medicine would pretty much be the final victory - and they have certainly won almost every battle so far, except for the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994. Hmm, let's see - which administration was in power at the time? You know, when you think about it, who are " THEY " to tell us that natural remedies are not real medicine? I mean, as my friend Webster Kehr asked, when did God become a quack? oleander soup , " May " <luellamay129 wrote: > > I just signed the petition and left my own comment. Guest guest
Why thank you Tony! It's a pleasure to be here! Well, hang on because they are aiming for their final victory. Read about CODEX. It's not that they think that they are right and they don't care what God thinks. It is all about control. We are becoming but mere robots. I believe April 30th is a big date. I hope I'm wrong. It seems unimaginable that they would do this, but look at how we have just been letting them strip us of our freedoms and basic rights, one by one. Are we going to let them do this to? Our only hope is that somebody involved in the voting process does not agree with this or is not ready to implement it yet. oleander soup , " Tony " wrote: > > Welcome to our group, May! > > Yeah, cooking almonds and irradiating foods but merely callng them > pastuerized, the ways MSG is mislabeled - the attacks against our > freedom of health and right to know are everywhere. > > I personally think that there would be a huge hue and cry if they ever > actually outlawed all supplements or brought all alternative healing > under the auspices of the FDA.
