If I recall right, TM is a basic word that is repeated over and over. They are

suppose to give u a special word just for u and no one else. U find a relaxing

place and close your eyes and repeat the word over and over. The game is to be

just doing that and nonthing else. If u think of other things, u gentle bring

your mind back to repeating the word over and over. After a period of time u

will be doing this 15 min to 30 min per day.

It's been said it helps u org your mind and it has been shown to decrease your

metabolic rate.

How to come up w/ your special word? Try using the dictionary. Pick part of

a word randomly, than pick another part of a word randomly and combine them. W/

a little practice u too can come up w/ some pretty neat sounding wording just

for u; there is no magic in the word used.

And the only way to get good at it is practice.

Dear Robert,

Thank you for the great post.. I found some interesting videos

about TM but none that say exactly how to do TM. I called the

organization to get more information but they require $2,500 in

order to learn the technique. Considering how much my BA, LMT and

other continuing education classes cost over a life time it is a

drop in the bucket but I am not running out to fork over the cash.
