That sounds more like an ALLERGY (unless hives was what was being

treated for homeopathically). I don't think you can get a REACTION

between peppermint and the homeopathic, rather it would just (possibly)

render the homeopathics ineffective.

If there was an allergic reacton, one would have to consider WHAT

exactly in the candy he was reacting to, OR whether it was anything in

the candy at ALL. It could just be coincidental to something else.

(Beware the dread " post hoc ergo propter hoc " fallacy.)

It WOULD be interesting to know the basis for the " prohibition " against

peppermint when on homeopathics. Anyone want to look into it for

homework? I'll ask my health specialist next time I'm talking to him. In

the meantime, anyone want to do a websearch on " peppermint AND

homeopathy " ? :)

It's interesting that on the " Master Cleanse " [which I've just completed

seven days on], one of the few things you can have in addition to the

main compoents of the cleanse IS peppermint tea -- and it's real nice,

very smoothing.

On homeopathy and peppermint. I do not know the reason for the rule of

no peppermint with homeopathic remedies but I do know that after giving

my child a homeopathic remedy, he was given peppermint candy by a

neighbor and immediately broke out in hives and rash. I gave him some

benedryl and it cleared up but he was quite uncomfortable till then.

Peace, thyme
