Guest guest
I totally agree with your response to just girls being vaccinated. However, this isn't the case here (Ontario, Canada) where both sexes are being targeted for education & vaccine for HPV. Since the boys give it to the girls, it's felt they need protection from being a carrier in the first place. However, the brunt of the responsiblility will probably fall onto the girls. Yes, I " argued " the same point over the flu shot. Our local station ran an ad 2-3 years ago ... told us to be sure to get our flu shot (I never have)to avoid getting the the flu or for feeling badly when we give the flu to someone who didn't get their flu shot. Let me get this straight ... I should get a flu shot (that I don't want) to avoid giving the flu to another person who didn't get their flu shot (probably because he/she didn't want to either)?! Linda ----------------- since it was mentioned " why just the girls " , it makes me think that this is actually just another case of the man trying to keep us down. We have to stay clean for them but they don't have to stay clean for us. I see how it is. We should be expected to still be all into a guy with genital warts all over his nether regions, but we sure as hell better not get any genital warts. Grrrrrr.... There is a fundamental question here. How does a vaccine save the lives of the community at large? If everyone who is vaccinated is safe, why not let the rest of us who don't want to be vaccinated, take our chances. Our decisions should not affect those who did vaccinate since they are safe by having taken the vaccine, right? And if that is not the case, what is the point of a vaccine and is it worth risking injecting mercury which is CERTAIN to be harmful? All new Mail Get news delivered.
