Guest guest
I've always used peppermint to soothe a tummy ache. But it seems I remember something from when I used to practice Wiccanism about not using peppermint. I've never had a problem with it, though I don't much care for the taste of it so I never use it unless I have a tummy ache. RSchl44964 wrote: On homeopathy and peppermint. I do not know the reason for the rule of no peppermint with homeopathic remedies but I do know that after giving my child a homeopathic remedy, he was given peppermint candy by a neighbor and immediately broke out in hives and rash. I gave him some benedryl and it cleared up but he was quite uncomfortable till then. Peace, thyme

Best Wishes, Misty ----------------------- A few months ago on another group, there was a discussion about fluoride and chlorine and out of that came this recipe for toothpaste. Since receiving this, we have tried it and find it quite acceptable. I no longer care to support the toothpaste in a tube companies. I did a small cut and paste from that discussion below: And the thing that ticks me off more then anything is in the use of toothpaste. They (makers) add sweet flavors to get children to want toothpaste even more. And do you think children don`t swallow when it tastes like candy. Come on folks, lets think clearly now. Here is my makings for toothpaste. 1/3 c. baking soda( made into dust w/coffee grinder) not used for coffee 1/3c. Xylitol sugar (natural low-glycemic,safe for diabetics. Made from birch trees) I leave a pint bottle of these 2 ingredients mixed so I can make a new batch of toothpaste in about 3 min. 2 drops pepperment oil 1 drop tea tree oil 8 drops of hydregen proxide(food grade and diluted down for safe consumption) Filtered wated mixed to a creamy state Seal in tight container The oils can be changed for any combination. Since I have begun using this formula, my 30+ yrs of gum infection has almost ceased to exist. I forgot to say that when I mix a small batch of toothpaste, that I use only a small say 1 oz. container and add the drops to that combo. NOT the whole batch of unmixed powder.
