Guest guest
Hadn't dawned on me. Will actually be cheering for the barristers. BioShield does remove much of the pharma culpability though, I think.... this scam is choreographed pretty well.. http://www.cbo.gov/showdoc.cfm?index=1821 & sequence=0 Back around 1968 when Medicare went into effect, it's first year budget was $4 1/2 billion and using data/demographics available then, a projection was made that it should grow to about $9 Billion by 1985 (17yrs) which sort of made sense..double in 17 or 4-5% year. In 1985, it was $110B more, or $119B was spent and just last year twice that was allocated just for drugs, just for one segment of population. I don't see pharmaceuticals as growth industry anymore; Moore's Law is dead. Sell your stock, they cannot keep up with previous growth rates w/o some sort of drastic outside influence.... Just my observation... ck this out Medicare Drug Benefit May Cost $1.2 Trillion (washingtonpost.com) http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A9328-2005Feb8.html How can something that was supposed to be $9 billion TOTAL in 1992 be over a $TRILLION JUST for PHARMAceuticals , 13 years later?? Did these rocket scientists in DC take into account that if something is "free" the demand might go up? Did they take into account that suppliers billing the "government" tend to take advantage? Did they take into account that hte AMA exists only to benefit the profession and deals with filtered dogma and treating symptoms and is not concerned w/making anyone healthy? Evidently not. Excuse the rant, but I think you might can see why I am a Libertarian. Best thing would be if ..all of a sudden..everyone just got acutely healthy and wise KPR, Shag Avian2005 , "GrinNBarrett" <grinnbarrett@c...> wrote:>> I admit people do act stupid most of the time but how long do you think people are going to ignore what they see on TV such as:> > Lawyers asking you to contact them if you experienced any problem with xxxxxxx since a class action suit is to be filed regarding xxxxxxx.> Click to join Avian2005 Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs.
