Guest guest
I use warm olive oil, and it feels so good... Also, you can get a nice oil combo with olive oil, mullein and garlic at most health food stores... Sindeadriving Geoff nuts since 1994... Help!! What is good for an ear ache. One that feels as if someone is stabbing your ears drum with knives. This is about to kill me. I have been on heat and it is not doing anything. Guest guest
I use a warm maceration in olive oil of garlic and mullein flowers - it works every time. I bet you can find something similar (or even just the mullein flowers) at a health food store. Mindy Kittay

Guest guest
Oh Doc.... He ended up at an ear specialist.. nothing was helping and the pain was like stabbing knives. His ears were so swollen inside that they had to put wicks in to get medicine down in there...gave him some kind of antiobiotic drops. Finally started getting relief on Friday nite and Sat the wicks fell out and tonite he is better. The doc said he got something like swimmers ear and the water in there casued a scab , or open wound of sorts. Bet nexxt time his ears start itching he'll tell me.....that's what working out in rain and wind for 2 days does... I now have my ear drops on hand for the next time garlic and mullein.. thanks doc. Guest guest
My symathies with this one - had exactly the same and when that pain comes it is hell. I found the best thing was the antibiotic/steroid drops from docs to calm down the situation. (and I am a complementary therapist /registered homeopath!!!). When things are bad you take what works then look to other things (herbs etc) to try and then take over the healing Janice herbal remedies, Suzanne Nottmeier <suziesgoats> wrote: > > Oh Doc.... > He ended up at an ear specialist.. nothing was helping and the pain was like stabbing knives. Guest guest
Janice, That's what they gave him... He is better as of Saturday. It's funny....he doesn't take meds unless dire needs.... and he looks at me with my herbs.....but his son believes in herbs... so we just gang up on him at times.... Guest guest
Hi all- I have had an ear ache for a few weeks. The dr checked and there is water, redness inside-[there is a test for this she did] and was a fever. I was put on 10 days of amoxicillon. Via a call in- she then put me on a Z-pack antibiotic. I am on day 3 of that. I dont notice a fever- but the ear still aches. What remedy could I take for this- do I need to worry... I should mention I could be looking at hand surgery in a few weeks too. The Z-pack says it works for 10 days. The dr office told me to call Monday today for appt if persists- but I am thinking they tell everyone that so as to not be sued. Any suggestions?
