Dave,

My daughter has similar problems- also perpetrated at school, and promoted

because of children in the classroom that say such hurtful and rejecting

things that my daughter becomes so angry and hurt that she also pulls at her

hair and hits herself.... saying all sorts of self accusatory things because

of not feeling " good enough " to be acceptable to the crowd..... I really

resent the peer pressure that can make a child feel either acceptable or

totally rejected. She's done everything she can think of to " fit in " ....

I'm sick of it, and have begun to counteract this behavior and emotional

sabotage by using positive affirmations and a laser with a Brain Setting....

(It's proprietary, so I don't know what the frequency is....) and some very

strong magnets. I used the magnets on the Vegus nerves at the top/back part

of the brain, and lasered the forehead - across the top of the head to the

vegus nerves in the back...... all the while saying these affirmations:

" My self esteem and self-worth are not dependent on what others think of me.

I totally and completely love and accept myself the way God made me " .

and

" I can effectively express myself in a calm, peaceful manner using words and

actions that will promote understanding between myself and others. "

The top affirmation is for self-worth, and the second is for the anger and

reactions to other's hateful words that need to be neutralized...

This laser brain stimulation will kind of " fill in " the ruts of repeated

abuse, and retrain the brain in new thinking patterns.

There are some tissue salts that work great for nerve problems BiChemic

Phosphates, and Hypercum (St. John's Wort) that do help with this, as well

as Bach Flower Remedy - Rescue Remedy, and NET's ER 911 which is a

combination remedy that Neuro-Emotional Technique trained doctors (mainly

Chiropractors) use.

If this situation has been one of long standing.... sometimes the adrenals

are affected (adrenal exhaustion)... just watch in case - be aware. Stress

can be really accumulative and cause a lot of other physical problems.

I will say that Anti-Depressants have KNOWN side effects- especially in

children, causing them to become suicidal. Be careful with this. There's

an entire list called SSRI on that deals with this problem.

I hope this is helpful to you and others.

[s-A] Natural treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorders

| My 12 year old daughter has been diagnosed with an Obsessive Compulsive

| Disorder called trichotillomania. With trichotillomania, she pulls out

| her hair due to the stress that she encounters (school, peer pressure,

| etc.). Her doctor suggests that medication may be an option. I don't

| know about you but the anti depressant medications (Prozac, etc.) scare

| the hell out of me! From what I've been researching, it seems the

| medication does not help and sometimes the symptoms can worsen. I have

| been researching some natural alternatives that have been used with

| people who have trichotillomania, but I really don't know much about

| them. I have found four natural ways: 1) Marjoram leaves 2) Kava

| Kava 3) Chamomile tea 4) Natracalm. I have read that Kava Kava

| should only be taken by people who are 18 and up. I have also read

| where some people have found Natracalm to be a very effective natural

| way to relieve the stress. Any further input would be greatly

| appreiated.
