Guest guest Posted July 8, 2005 Report Share Posted July 8, 2005 Heidi, The socket left after the extraction needs to be curetted out with a sterile round bur to remove contaminated bone and then irrigated out with sterile solution. One does this to prevent what is called Cavitations. See the description of the technique in " The Root Canal Cover-Up EXPOSED! " by Dr. George Meinig. I wrote the Forward to the book.
