Guest guest
Not to change the subject, but how do you feel about sugar? I am trying to learn if it is acceptable in moderate amounts. And when baking cookies, cakes etc. What is an acceptable substitute if we are trying to cut down on the sugar calories? (aspartame VS sugar) Any thoughts would be appreciated. The front of the package indicated the pops were made with all natural juice and other natural flavors. No where on the front of the package was there any indication of the additon of aspartame:; however ,when you look at the ingredient list you will find that this product contains aspartane. I have a degree in nutrition and know enough to check the ingredient list on products that say " no added sugar " but I wonder who many harred parents of preschoolers would buy this product and think that they are buying a pure juice pop. (I also wonder how much of our society's problem with hyperactive children is related to their consumption of chemical additives in the food supply) To me this deceptive marketing is unconscionable, especially since this product is eaten mainly by children. If you agree with me please email Dole and let them know of your opinion. Also I am personally bycotting Dole over this issue and I encourage any one who feels the same to do likewise.
