Guest guest
I've taken andrographis for a similar situation. I don't know if you can find it in a dosage she can swallow. It could be several different bugs. In fact her cough is getting worse! Last night on top of all the other stuff I'm doing I put her in the shower and got it really steamy then added some eucalyptus and geranium to the water and had her inhale that. She didn't want to get out as it felt good in there. But she was still coughing something fierce. Her cough is very deep in the chest, loose but mostly unproductive, and constant. She doesn't seem to be able to catch a break at all. Last night she vomitted a couple times (most of it was mucus) because her coughing was so bad! She's complaining of a headache and her chest along with muscles are sore from coughing so bad. It took her 2 hours last night to finally fall asleep after I put them to bed. She just got so exhausted and crashed but still coughed in her sleep. I've had bronchitis before and her cough sounds exactly like that. She also has a low grade fever that came on yesterday. This is day 4 of the cough and treatment for her.
Guest guest
Hi Stephanie, first of all don't dismiss your doctor that fast, You dont have to take whatever he prescribes but you can, and in this case you MUST have him to examine your daughter. She is just 5 years old !! So the doctor will diagnose her and then we here might indeed help with some natural treatment. Now I'd like to know if the cough ends with kind of whistle? [s-A] bad cough > > > Hi everyone! > > All my kids caught a minor cold/cough last week into this week. I treated them all with echinacea, a eucalyptus & thyme chest rub, and have been giving them cinnamon and honey. On top of this they all are drinking lots of fluids. > > 3 of the kids responded well to the treatment above and still have a minor cough once and a while during the day.
