Guest guest Posted February 27, 2005 Report Share Posted February 27, 2005 Being as I am the mother of someone who developed multichemical sensitivity/environmental illness a few years ago, my concern with using the essential oils like that is that I some people may develop sensitivity especially to the lavender, the frequent exposure. Another simple way to induce sleep in a child is to gently rub the mastoids (bony prominences behind the ears) for a minute or two. Works for adults as well as children.
