Guest guest
I everyone... I had no idea about the chickens being scalded alive... Has anyone else heard about this? I have no problem with people that choose to eat meat, I would just hope the animals were not treated like this! Comments? Misty L. Trepke http://www..com KFC Weekly Action 2-25-05 Hey Everyone: A week from tomorrow is the first Saturday of the month, and in cities throughout the world activists will be protesting against KFC in solidarity with each other and the animals who are still being confined, mutilated, and scalded alive. It's not too late to call some friends and plan on being out in front of your local KFC passing out leaflets and holding signs, to speak on behalf of the chickens. Even if you just go on your own, it will still be a victory for the animals. KFC managers have recently started telling protesters that our presence is actually increasing their business. This is a bold-faced lie. If you go to a protest early and keep an eye on the number of customers at KFC and then watch customer traffic during your protest, you'll notice that there will be fewer. You will be turning people away while you are there! You will also reach out to people who may not know about this campaign or the horrors that KFC's chickens are forced to endure. Don't forget about the Week of Action leading up to Meatout on March 20. During Meatout, people all over the world do demos, set up tables, and talk with people about the dangers of eating meat and the cruelty involved with raising animals for food. You can be part of this annual, international event! I encourage all of you to organize a KFC demo anytime from March 11-March 20. I will send you all the materials that you need, including our new celebrity vegetarian leaflet. Please let me know ASAP the time, date, and location for the First Saturday of March and Meatout demonstrations. The sooner you tell me, the sooner I'll be able to let all the activists in your area know about your plans! Please let me know if you have any questions or requests. You are all doing some really amazing work! I look forward to hearing from you!
