reading several of these posts, had to add my 2 cents.

There may be other reasons for hair loss. Most people these days are constantly

watching their intake of calories so they buy " sugar-free " products. If you

and/or your daughter are drinking diet sodas, or other diet/sugar free products

sweetened with aspartame (Nutrasweet) that could definitely be causing the

problem. I would suggest you check out a few websites explaining the horrific

effects this artificial sweetener has on the body. I drank diet coke and put

" Equal " in my coffee for almost 20 yrs before I found out the truth. It has

caused me numerous health problems, two being hypoglycemic and having

Aspartame converts to methanol inside the body, which converts to formaldehyde

and stores inside the fat cells and is very difficult to rid the body. It

read how aspartame got approved on these websites. Please take a look at the

ingredients on all the products you purchase and be very careful to avoid

purchasing them. If you have them in your pantry...throw'em out. Better yet,

bring them back to the store and tell them you want to return them because they

contain aspartame. Watch the look you get. Hope this information helps you

find the cause of her problem.

Hair will grow back if the hair loss has been caused by poor diet, vitamin

deficiency, iron deficiency, poor circulation and past acute illness or

thyroid disease. Occasionally, factors such as stress, nutrition, altered

immunity and hormonal imbalances have a role to play and intervention can

improve the situation. A large number of essential nutrients are involved in

healthy hair growth. These include:

 

* all the essential amino acids, especially cysteine and methionine

 

* vitamin A, biotin, vitamin B12, PABA (para amino benzoic acid),
