I've wondered about this. William is practically a vegetarian. Aside from

eggs, occasional cheese and butter, he eats only fruits and vegetables. Very

rarely, he will eat chicken but never beef. He used to eat bacon or sausage

but he has stopped eating that. I started giving him a little coconut oil a

few times a week. Butter is one thing that he loves.

My health food store has one brand of ghee. I look at it next time I go to

see what brand it is.

Thanks,

Ann in Memphis

My husband's cardiologist said that moderates amount of butter was better than

other products. Now, using extra virgin olive oil on bread would be the best.

Denise,

Excellent point using Olive Oil, unfortunately I have clients who have

chosen not to give up butter so they compromise by mixing organic butter and

a small amount of olive oil together and seem quite happy with the outcome.

I believe the key is to choose an organic butter such as Horizon or another

one I just heard of called Anchor, imported from New Zealand where all their

cattle are grass-fed, thus insuring a high nutrient content of their milk,

butter, and meat.
