Guest guest
My eleven year old daughter has been losing portions of her hair throughout the year and it has caused quite a concern. Her doctor referred us to a dermatologist and he suggested that the result was my daughter pulling her hair. My daughter does not pull her hair or have any nervous habits with her hair. The dermatologist also suggested counseling, becuase it could be stress related. My daughter had another appointment with her doctor and he suggests that the problem is Telogen Effluvium, which is an abnormal loss of hair due to the alteration of the normal hair cycle. Is there anything natural that can be taken to stimulate the hair growth? My daughter's hair does not come out in clumps, but it seems that it is breaking off half-way. Could the hair loss be caused by a food allergy? Any input would be most welcome. Thank you, Dave
