Guest guest
It is the anthocyanodins and proanthocyanodins in red grapes that is so beneficial. These dark colorants are also in blueberries, bilberry.eggplant etc. You are much better off eating blueberries or drinking or eating grapes than to drink wine. While drinking red wine does have this benefit because of these bioflavonoids, it also has many more health risks, that have not been presented in this article. MARK Jerry Mittelman <jmittelman wrote: Red Wine Decreases Prostate Cancer Risk A study of 753 newly diagnosed prostate cancer cases in men aged 40 to 64 years of age were compared to 703 cancer free subjects matched by age. Each additional glass of red wine consumed per week showed a statistically significant 6% drop in the risk of developing prostate cancer. This effect was not found for beer or liquor. The study is published in the January 1st, 2005 issue of the International Journal of Cancer. Commentary by Jerry Hickey, R.Ph. Wine is rich in Resveratrol and Grape Seed OPCs, ingredients lacking in beer and liquor. These wine ingredients have tremendous health benefits. - - - Reply with your po box or street address to get a free copy of The Holistic Dental Digest PLUS. jmittelman What dentists aren't likely to learn in dental school
