I guess we never thought that much about it at all. My kids like it. I often put carob chips in cookies, for example. I have it unsweetened as a powder and have both sweetened and unsweeted carob chips [like chocolate chips]. By sugar-free I mean no white sugar, honey, maple syrup or any boxed food with an -ose word in it. Only apples, pears and blueberries until the 2 weeks are over. Then I look forward to slowly adding other fruits back into the diet. I still use Stevia in my herbal teas. I'm hoping the yogurt I'm eating [which I don't like] and the acidophilus will help the good stuff grow more while the no sugar approach should minimize the bad stuff. Thanks Mark for all of your opinions and info. dawne > >
