Guest guest
Wow thank you for all the great information. I can see how a person could continue a fast for a prolong time. It sure is liberating. We grew organic popcorn, Something I could easily handle. I like to jump start my metabolism, in the phase, coming off the fast. I can see how you can get bogged down if you don't do it correctly. Would you recommend any particular fat burning fruits, at this point. Perhaps grapefruit, to be slowly introduced. I am working out daily, using a heart rate monitor, staying 22 minutes in my HR zone. I've actually retained enough energy to workout even on the fast. I haven't lost weight be then that wasn't my expectation. I began my fitness on Christmas Day. I can see inches melting but weight is being stubborn. My goal is to lose 25 pounds by March 1, 2005. And tips and advise would be greatly appreciated. Ivy I found this from a google search... The very first one said popcorn???? Ironic, when I broke my first fast that is what I wanted to eat, but I think this is a better way to go... Hope this helps... Other comments, suggestions? Guest guest
How many days would we follow this? Sincerely, Karri In a message dated 1/4/2005 6:32:39 A.M. Pacific Standard Time, mistytrepke writes: Inner Cleanse Diet Instructions For the Inner Cleanse diet you will be able to feast - not fast! The idea is to fill your body with natural precious vitamins and minerals. When a sufficient amount of these live substances reaches the cells of your body, there will be a cleansing and elimination of toxic material throughout. This program will be a good start for you to have a strong, healthy body with lots of energy. If you are preceding the Inner Cleanse diet with a fast, you must build up to the full cleansing diet gradually after your fast. Eat small quantities of raw food on the first day, taking a period of time half as long as your fast to reach the complete inner cleanse diet (e.g. for a 10 day fast, take 5 days to slowly reach full proportions). Follow these directions carefully. · No dairy products (except where noted), potatoes (yams are OK), avocados · No dried fruit, grains, beans · No tomatoes, baked goods (except where noted), eggplant · No sugar, honey, maple syrup or sweetening agent of any type · No bananas, pasta, preserved food, meat · No coffee, black tea, or alcohol · Little salt · Stop all supplements for duration of Cleanse unless otherwise specified. Before Breakfast Fifteen minutes before you are ready to eat breakfast, squeeze the juice of a lemon in a medium glass of hot water and drink it. Breakfast Apple or grapefruit juice - eight ounces minimum. You can take more if you desire, but be sure that you take at least eight ounces. Yogurt - up to five tablespoons of plain yogurt (if desired). Fresh fruit - one-half pound. You may eat more, but be sure to eat at least one-half pound; (remember: no bananas or avocados). Lunch Vegetable mineral broth (see below) - Drink two cups during the meal. Salad - Make a chopped salad of fresh raw vegetables. Use a dressing of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, kelp or dulse and engevita yeast (if desired). Eat at least eight level tablespoons of salad. Use at least four of the following vegetables: artichokes, asparagus, beans, beets, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots cauliflower, cucumber, celery, dandelion, endive, corn, peas, peppers, kale, kohlrabi, lettuce, lotus, okra, sprouts, onions, garlic, parsley, parsnips, pumpkin, radishes, rutabaga, salsify, spinach, squash, swiss chard, turnip, zucchini. Dinner Vegetable mineral broth (see below) - Drink two cups during the meal. Cooked vegetables - Select three or more of the vegetables listed for lunch and steam or stir fry them in butter. Eat a generous portion. Cooked vegetables are necessary in the evening for proper cleansing. A salad can be added. Bread - one medium slice of whole grain bread with butter (if desired). Snacks Between meals you should drink all the fruit or vegetable juice you like. You may also eat raw vegetables or fruits. You should allow at least 1/2 hour between eating fruit and eating vegetables. The more live (raw) food you can eat or drink, the more cleansing will be done. If fresh fruit juice cannot be obtained, canned varieties from the health food store will do. Make the Vegetable Mineral Broth and drink as much as you like. Vegetable Mineral Broth 2 cups carrot tops (leaves) 2 cups potato peels, 1/4 inch thick 2 cups beet tops 3 cups celery (stalks and leaves) 2 cups parsley (1 cup dehydrated) Cover with reverse osmosis or distilled water and simmer for 20 minutes. Strain, keep broth and discard vegetables. If one of the vegetables is unobtainable, just leave it out. (Replace it with one of the other vegetables if possible.) You can add garlic, onion or other vegetables and vegetable ends. Some people like to add miso, soy sauce or Dr. Jensen's " Vegetable Broth or Seasoning " in the last few minutes for taste. Drink hot or cold. If time is limited you can take one tablespoon of Dr. Jensen's " Vegetable Broth or Seasoning' and pour one cup of boiled water over it as a substitute.
