Guest guest
DID I MISUNDERSTAND THIS POST, OR DID THIS PERSON SAY THAT MOST OF US NEED RED MEAT TO LIVE A HEALTHY LIFE, AND THAT THE PROBLEM IS TOO LITTLE ANIMAL PROTEIN AS OPPOSED TO TOO MUICH???? DO YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT, AND IF YOU DO, PLEASE JUSTIFY YOUR STATEMENT FOR ME? I am certainly confused, because I have not eaten meat now in oh about 23 years, and I thought I was doing ok!!Are you aware that the human body does not even develop the digestive enzymes to properly digest meat until about 12 years old? My children have never eaten meat and they seem to be smarter, healthier, stronger and more adept then their counterparts, oh and I am caucasian, not koren or indian ancestry. Just would like to know how you justify your statement please. We pretty much balance the week with red and white meat. Steph <<To much protein is not healthy at all to the body, especially if they are from animal source.>> I believe too little animal protein is a much bigger problem than too much. I have dealt with people who have come to me with environmental illness, and one common link I've seen with them is the lack of red meat in their diets. I know one vegetarian for 18 years who was forced back onto red meat through EI because her liver was able to deal with the vegetarian lifestyle. There are a few people who don't need red meat (usually of Indian or Korean descent), but most of us need it to live a healthy life.
