Guest guest
When I read the posts here, I let alot of things go, but this one, I simply cannot.........Just so I understand, please explain to me how eating " Plenty of protein " including red meat is good for a migraine???? The Fresh fruit and vegetables certainly and plenty of water agreed. Were you aware that there are actually fruits and vegetables that will help a migraine? I suspect what that means (when I try to look up Slim Fast Low-Carb there is a mention of " Sweetened with Nutritive Sweeteners and a Nonnutritive Sweetener " which to me rings of aspartame and/or Splenda - both of which can be huge causes of headaches. Increase your water intake (like Misty said), and drop those shakes. If you're not eating red meat amongst the " high protein " I would suggest adding it to your diet. I believe your liver NEEDS the red meat to help it process and detoxify the body. The problem with low-carb is not that you are eating too much protein, but rather that the companies making supposed " low-carb " foods are actually replacing the sugars with Splenda and aspartame, neurotoxins, which cause more problems than they solve. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables and plenty of protein, including red meat, as well as a high intake of water (quart per 50 pounds, plus a quart) will do a lot for helping with migraines. Also, another point I differ on is the water should be just water. The body recognizes and starts to digest food on a bite-by-bite basis. If you have anything mixed into the water, it makes the body work harder to remove the other substances before it can utilize the water. Water is best for you if it is just water, not flavored water, not lemon water, just water. The more you drink the water, the more you'll like the water too.
