They say it comes from sugar, but then they chlorinate it, making it completely foreign to the body, and dangerous to the health... If you have to do sugar do real sugar, or an alternative natural source like date sugar, sugar beet sugar, etc... I always trust the real thing over a chemist's version of it... But do your own research, we should have some articles here at S-A, and I am sure a google search would reap lots of info... Best Wishes, Misty L.
