My migraines are always from temple to temple across the forhead and over the

top front part of my head from temple to temple. It is always pounding as if I

was beaten in the head with a bat. I do get nauseaus with them but no vomiting.

My ears also get muffled like and feel like they need to be popped. Sometimes it

also feels like I have a screwdriver in my ear. Not everyone but once in a while

I wll get dizzy and feel as if I'm going to pass out. My mood while having the

migraine is somber and tired and I can't keep up with the kids. I just want to

go to bed but can't until all my kids are in bed. The only way they get better

is if I sleep and they usually are still there in the am but very slight and

more annoying then painful. Then as the day goes on they get worse. Light always

makes the pain worse.

Mark wanted to know what my diet was like. I had followed a low carb high

protien diet for a while after the kids were born to loose those lbs I gained in

pregnancy. This past summer I fell off the low carb diet and have been trying to

get back on. It's hard since the rest of my family eats freely what they want

and I need to provide for them their luxary food so they don't have to suffer.

Every morning when I get up I grab my thyroid pill and take it with a glass of

water. I then prepare my husbands breakfast and lunch and then the kids get up

and I take care of them. I will then have a slimfast low carb shake around 9am

because it is quick and that is all I have time for. Lunch usually consists of a

sandwich with low carb wheat bread and either turkey, tuna, egg, PBJ (low carb)

or another shake. Afternoon snack is usually a nut and raisin trail mix. Dinner

is always a meat with veggies and once a week a pasta of some sort cause it is

cheap. After dinner snack if I have one is cheese or popcorn. I usually don't

eat after dinner as I'm not hungry.

Being a stay at home mom my day pretty much consists of taking care of the kids,

laundry, cleaning, coloring, taking a break and using the computer, and such.

>characteristic of the pain like? What makes it better and worse?

>For example, but not limited to: hot, cold, rest, motion, elevated,

As for my foot the pain is a lot of pressure, achey/pounding. It always feels

better if I'm not on it and it's elevated. It gets really itchy around the lump

and the scars first thing in the am and at night after being on it for some

time. Heat makes it feel worse but cold doesn't help it either. I usually have

bare feet all day and only put shoes on when I'm out. There doesn't seem to be a

difference with it bare or covered.
