Guest guest
WOW, you seem to have alot going on there. I would love to know what kind of a diet you have. What a typical week is like. Starting with the migraines, let me give you a couple of herbs that I have had good success with prescribing to people who have migraines. The best herb bar none, is an herb called feverfew. Here is how it works, and by the way, it works very well in about 2/3 of all migraine headaches, when you combine it with the second herb I will give you, it raises the percentage up to over 75%. Feverfew contains parhenolides. Parthenolides are compounds that seem to inhibit the release of the mood-controlling brain chemical serotonin from blood cells called platelets. In studies time after time, feverfew blocks the blood vessel constriction. Sometimes feverfew causes mouth ulcers in poeple who take the fresh leaf. It is best to take this in capsule form or as a tea. You will need about 3 300 to 400 mg capsules daily, or up to three average sized leaves, or 15 to 30 drops of tincture per day. Combine this with Bay. You know the bay leaf that you cook with. Bay also contains parthenolides. Taking the fresh leaf is best, but you can also make a tea of it along with the feverfew. Often times migraine headaches are related to food allergy problems, or a slightly less sever food intolerance problem. Which does in fact originate in the digestive tract. The biggest allergy offenders are cows milk, wheat, chocolate, eggs, citrus fruits, strawberries, cheese, tomatoes, rye and food additives tartrazine and benzoic acid. Check to see if you are consuming these foods. Other foods can cause headaches not because they give allergic reactions, but because they influence the diameter of the blood vessels, the most common offenders are Chocolate, red wine, aged cheeses, caffeinated beverages, processed meats, and food additives MSG and aspartame. If you eat these foods, that might also be a problem. As for the slow thyroid, I do not have enough information to suggest foods and herbs to remedy the situation for you, but you must stary away from the brassica family of vegetables. Broccoli, cabbage etc. Therse will slow the action of the thyroid, so avoid these foods. IF I had more information about the ovarian cysts and the ganglion, I would know better how to help you. I hope this helps. MARK STEPHANIE DIONNE <esdionne wrote: Good morning to everyone, I am Stephanie (Steph for short) I am a 28 yr old stay at home mom of 4 children. I want to learn as much as I can about homeopath to help myself, my family, and my dog. I will try to make this short. I suffer from migraines and have for quite some time. They got better while I was pregnant with each child but since we are done and have been for 20 months the migraines have come back and full force. I was going every day for 3 weeks with one and would have a break while on my period. I have been put on Atenolol as a maitanance and told to take Alieve when the headaches start and lay down (ya right with 4 kids running around). I have been to the chiropractors several times to be aligned and all and that hasn't seemed to work. Now with this Atenolol that I'm taking I have noticed side effects like sexual desire has become non existant and my hair had become brittle and breaking. I have seen a neurologist and we can't seem to find the trigger. That is the headache part now here is my foot problem. 12yrs ago I found a lump on my foot which turned out to be a ganglion (cyst) and it was removed. 4 yrs ago it came back and was now on the top of my foot and in my ankle. I had seen a new doctor and she did an X-ray and MRI and saw that it was really bad. When she went in to remove it she noticed it wasn't a ganglion but a tumor of some sort. She then biopsied it and waited for the results and then 3 months after that she went back in and removed it all from my foot and ankle. It was an angio-lyphoma (begnin). Last year it came back again but this time it was a ganglion. Now it is back and I soooo don't want another surgery. I have incredible scars on my foot and ankle. I have a keloid problem I guess. Also ever since I can remember I have had ovarian cysts and also had to have surgery to remove a few of them. My question is there a reason for all these cysts and what nots going on in my body? Have any of you experienced any of this and what do you do to help make it better or cure it? I'm tired of all the meds or surgeries. The seem to help one thing but cause problems else where. My only other medical problem is a low thyroid. It's all just very frustraiting especially when I'm facing another surgery to remove either a new ganglion or angio-lyphoma from my foot once again. Thanks for any help or advice you all may be able to give, Steph
