In my opinion you should try turning to a good and experienced naturopath

who should check up your diet. Another thing is taking some manual therapy

for your physical pain after sleeping such as massage, shiatsu and such. But

as I see it the most important thing for succesful treatment in this case is

the diagnose. The diagnose should be from an alternative point of view, and

maybe than it is possible to treat this condition with right diet and herbal

remedies.

[s-A] acid reflux

 

 

 

 

About my problem:

 

Acid Reflux: Having chest pain and pressure in throat whenever I lie down

irrespective of whether it is after meal or before meal or early morning.

 

Other symptoms include:

 

Hoarseness in throat.

Feeling lump in the throat.

Flem in the throat in the morning.

 

One year before, it started with a mild chest pain in the mornings.

Doctor( a very experienced gaestroentreologist in my place) diagnosed after

endoscopy and an abdomen scan that it is hyper dyspepsia. The doctor

prescribed some antacids and asked me avoid spicy foods. In spite taking the

medicines for three weeks there was no improvement.

 

Tried homeopathy. It did resolve the digestion problems like flatulence,

noise and stomach aches.However i was feeling very weak and thus

discontinued it. I couldn't lie flat even with this medication

 

Althrough the past one year, i am sleeping upright in a sitting position.

Towards morning I slide down gradually but never lie flat. Even if i go down

unconsciously, it wakes me up in 2-3 minutes.

 

I tried Dr Walt stoll's Ginjer root juice. I am taking ginger root juice for

the past one week. It is helping in digestion. However the upper throat

hoarseness and chest pain is not gone. Also trying having water with apple

cider vinegar in the night before going to bed.

 

About myself: I am slightly overweight(96 kgs) for a 6.2 ft high figure.

Until age 18, I was very regular with exercises. After that used to play

occassionaly but it was never regular. A software engineer by profession,

stress was there in early days of my career but not now. I do stretches in

the morning now. I had stopped smoking and alcohol after the day i was

diagnosed. I used to take spicy food but not now. I drink lot of water since

i had kidney stones earlier.

 

In spite so many attempts, I am yet to see any improvements. I have started

getting some side effects due to sleeping posture. I get back and neck

sprains sometimes when i get up.I am afraid I am going to see more side

effects.

 

Of late, I am having the hoarseness in throat even when i am sitting upright

or standing. I feel a continuous urge to swallow and sticky feeling in the

thoat. Although this sticky feeling gives a sense of nausea, no vomitting

till date.

 

I want to avoid surgery at any cost. I don't want to try prilosec since i

have tried that already.

 

Please help me any alternatives which can solve my problems. I want to lie

flat and sleep peacefully some day.
