Genetically engineered food

I was amazed at some of the response I received about this. Most people were

glad to see it, but some said ' They have no problem with genetically

engineered food'. Well, maybe they don't care, but for me, I like to know

what I am ingesting.

Recently I saw this:

In the 19th century, with the exception of ether, there were few

anesthetics to relieve the pain of childbirth. In 1847, Sir

James Young Simpson, M.D., a prominent obstetrician and a

professor of medicine and midwifery at Edinburgh, Scotland,

introduced chloroform. Chloroform, a colorless liquid that

produces a vapor that renders you unconscious, began to be widely

used for procedures other than childbirth, although a dangerous

side effect was its high incidence of liver damage and heart

problems. Today it is used daily as a flavoring and preservative

for other medicines. Simpson, born on this date in 1811, was

also an archaeologist.

Are you familiar with this, and if so, does this also mean that chloroform

is also approved as a flavoring and preservative in food?

Just curious.

You could get me going on this topic.

Did you know that American Agri-Laws state that all Herbs imported into

the US are " SUBJECT " to irradiation and fumigation? Did you also know

that ALL the BIG pharmaceuticals get their herbs from third world

countries where in many cases it is still legal to use DDT etc. etc.?

I know what you mean about some people having no problem with

genetically engineered food. These are probably the same people who

have no problem with the fact that almost 25% of public school children

are on a very heavy drug called Ritalin which has been proven to stunt

growth (Mental and Physical), and can induce suicidal tendencies.

Me thinks there is more to Y2K than just computer failures.

Dear Ross,

Thank you for this post... I believe this is one of the worst

crimes against humanity there possibly can be... To forever

contaminate our food supply with rogue genes... Who knows what the

end result will be: cancer, famine, etc? And to show you how

corrupt the system is, the supreme court just upheld that if a

farmer's field is contaminated by these rogue genes- the farmer has

to pay Monsanto for " use " of their patented nightmare... If you

think the powers that be are here to serve us, and not their wallets

and own agendas, take another look. That is why we need to become

empowered and let our voices be heard, before it is too late.
