I swear, sometimes I wonder how many inches we are from becoming a theocracy! Then we get to fight over what style of " God " will be in chic! I just don't see Bush as safeguarding individual rights - NOT that I'm starting a political debate. It's just that with different states making it " OK " for one person to refuse to do their job it gets scary. I'm personally NOT in favor of forcing someone to raise a child they don't want or feel they can't support. How fair is that to a child? Is it more likely for those kids to be in the welfare system or the juvenile system? What if I try to determine, on grounds of my religion, who should be allowed to parent? Scary thought? YOU BET! Why not make sex illegal? Or, only sex between two people not married in a church? Or only if the marriage happened in a church? Or maybe we should mandate that to have sex you have to be a married heterosexual, a University graduate who can prove you can financially support a child? Or how about you can have only 2 kids and then you must suffer your abnormal desires, through prayer, and abstain when you hit about 32? Or maybe we should just go for it and all have 12 kids? [i'm not anti-large families. I have 4 kids myself.] In that article we all read I never once saw a pharmacist offer to pay for a child resulting b/c of a lack of birth control. Or to employ that teen mom when teen dad makes a run for it. I really wonder what those same loving, " moral " people think about welfare and how much of our taxes should pay for that? hmmmm Here's an insane thought....do those same pharmacists fill a Viagra prescription willingly? [oh I crack me up] Something clearly has to be done. the questions is WHAT? Anyone with a suggested answer? If we lose ground with regard to one health freedom doesn't it stand to reason that we could lose others? shaking my head at what this world has become, dawne sorry for the venting!
