Guest guest
Hi everyone... Apologizes up front... I let this email go because it is just so darn important... Not just for gun owners, which I will leave up to each individual member to come to their own conscience regarding that- but rather because and only because of the issue of a NATIONAL ID. This is huge... Some may be asking, how is that different than our drivers licenses or our SS #, but now thanks to the Patriot Acts, anyone literally can be deemed a terrorist- giving to the " wrong " charity such as greenpeace, or impeding commerce such as a peaceful demonstration, and boom under the very, very loose wording of the Patriot Act your a terrorist. Remember all the hoopla about civilian combatants, and denying them due process because they were deemed terrorists and not entitled to constitutional protection, what if an American citizen is deemed a terrorist under this flimsy standard, and their national id is revoked- will they be stripped of their constitutional rights as well? In these times when our civil liberties are eroding, now your house can be broken into and searched without your consent or even notification, and the emergence of secret courts, do we really want the goverment to start collecting each of our profiles and tagging us like cattle? Thinking in reverse, why don't our driver licenses and SS # already suffice? For the extremely paranoid/concerned, to which I must admit occasional membership, could it have something to do with the chips that they want to implant in us? The ones that were approved by the FDA less than a month ago? There are some that blur alternative medicine and information like this together in what is allowed to be posted... I have tried to walk the line that said if it did not somehow relate to health it was off topic... But the times have just gotten so darn crazy, that I am wondering if that was not a mistake, if not helping to get the word out about this is to let the largest threat to our freedom and liberty- therefore our sanity and health, go uncommented on... What does everyone else here think? It is now in conference committee to iron out its differences with the Senate-passed version (S. 2845). GOA has already alerted you to the most alarming aspects of the House bill. > > Just to review, H.R. 10 would: > > (1) Create a massive government database containing personal information on every American man, woman and child [section 2173]. > This database would be within the exclusive discretion of the bureaucrats, but could include medical records, confidential financial records, library records, and gun records. > > (2) " Standardize, " (that is, nationalize) the process of issuing drivers' licenses -- an action which takes the final step toward creating a national ID card [section 3052].
